The grounds of Friars Court may be booked by a club ie WI, U3A etc or just a group of friends for a private afternoon visit to include a guided tour and cream tea.

As an inclusive part of a private visit your host, Charles Willmer, can take everyone on an informative, 45 minute, guided tour around the grounds. The route follows a level path, which is suitable for wheelchair users, and along the way Charles talks about the history of his home, the development of the gardens and the conservation work carried out on the farm. After the tour visitors may continue to wander and explore the grounds at leisure or simply sit, relax and enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the gardens on one of the main benches dotted around.
Visitors may visit the Coach House Museum where they can see historical artefacts recovered from the land, photographs spanning 100 years and learn about the history of Friars Court. In addition there is a small gift Shop located in the former Granary.
After the tour visitors can enjoy a traditional home-baked cream tea comprising of scones with strawberry jam & whipped cream, lemon drizzle cake, tea & coffee served in the spacious Garden Room with views over a lawn and herbaceous borders.
The grass car park at Friars Court can accommodate up to 50 cars, there is ample space in the main yard (on hard standing) for a coach. There are wheelchair user facilities and a level path around part of the grounds. Please note access to reach the musuem is over gravel.
